In 2013, Otis opened a new manufacturing facility located in Florence, South Carolina. Rogers Mechanical Contractors was contracted by Otis to complete extensive renovations and a design/build addition to the existing property.

This 423,000 SF manufacturing facility addition and renovation features a stand-alone 152 ft. test tower used for the development and testing of Otis’ latest innovations. The rest of the facility unites Otis’ manufacturing, engineering, contract logistics and field support expertise divisions into one single location. Today, this manufacturing center has consolidated much of Otis’ North American new equipment operations and now produces elevators that have not been manufactured anywhere else in North America.
